Normally the pole stands straight. This year however I had high winds while assembling.

String tied to center to measure out the circle

The radius of my tree is 48 inches (4 feet)

A piece of tape helps hold the string at the 48 inch mark
|
The case is 3 3/4 inches + 5 /34 inches = 9 1/2 inches -> the spacing between stakes
|
Now it's easy to space the stakes
|
